Panchakarma In India
Testimonials

HEAR STORIES OF TRANSFORMATION

Panchakarma was awakening for me—physically and emotionally. It was challenging, and at the same time, deeply healing.

Doing this with my wife made a difference. Her support, and the way we were able to open up deepened our marriage. We had the most heartfelt, non-judgmental conversations.

I left with so much gratitude—for the care, the insight, and the experience. The care we received was out of this world. Those 21 days in many ways were the best of my life. Time to journal, meditate, reflect, and even play games. There were definitely hard parts but I would absolutely do it again. Given everything I’ve put my body through, I feel good. It was a good journey worth taking.

BRENT

Panchakarma was otherworldly. Partly due to India, partly due to the isolation and quiet, partly due to the servant-kindness of all those that work at Vaidyagrama.

Just when I’m done resting, there is only more time to rest. And on the other side of rest? More rest. The afternoon treatments — a massage with four hands. Stripped down to my skin, every part of my body scrubbed and massaged.

I took medicine three times a day, did yoga nidra, and in the evening before dinner, joined satsang with the chief physician. There are covered walkways to rooms and sacred spaces and on every side is their garden, growing medicine to heal. Healing with food and herbs, touch, and rest. Feels ancient, holy in that way.

Every night, they smudge and sage every corner of every room. It feels like a temple being cleared daily. A metaphor for my body perhaps. And so it goes. This was one of the better decisions I’ve made in my lifetime.

JAKE

I traveled to India to undergo Panchakarma with Andrea Russell and a group of like-minded people. I chose to go to receive treatment and support for rheumatoid arthritis. The experience was difficult but very healing. Andrea was so helpful in preparing me for my trip, including what to pack and what to expect. During the treatment, having the group's support and Andrea’s guidance was very beneficial. She helped us bond as a group, providing daily meetings with meditation and time to discuss our treatment plan and our feelings about the treatments. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone with health issues or just a desire to live a healthier life. I have found a change in my condition. I am more able to take the Western medications required for my condition with fewer side effects. The positive effects of this experience include better sleep, less nausea, and fewer stomach issues such as GERD and acid reflux. I have a better understanding of what foods and combinations of foods impact my condition.

The Vaidyagrama Ayurvedic hospital was professional, and the support of the doctors and therapists was amazing. I felt cared for, listened to, and supported.

Thank you, Andrea, for your kindness, love, and unwavering support throughout this transformative journey.
