Mangos are balancing for all Ayurvedic doshas. They are especially refreshing in the summer months. Because of mangos high fiber content and stringy flesh, they are said to soothe inflamed intestinal tissues and prevent constipation. This is wonderful for the Vata constitution who tend towards dry, constipated stools, however if you have high Pitta and you notice loose stools, you’ve had enough lassi!

Typically they are made with milk or yogurt. Ayurveda suggests fruit and dairy are a poor combination that can lead to bloating and digestive upsets. This mango lassi swaps out the cow yogurt with coconut yogurt.

2 ripe mangos, flesh removed from the skin and pit
1/2 cup plain coconut yogurt
1/2 cup cold water or 4 ice cubes
1/2 tsp honey (optional)

Place all of the ingredients in a high speed blender, blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

Not sure how close your recipe is to Himal Chuli – I plan on making it, as
    I am a raw vegan

The owners of Himal Chuli have been making me special raw meals for awhile
    🙂

    Thanks for posting 🙂
