Stewed Pears

4 dates, pitted + chopped2 peeled, cored + sliced pears
2 c filtered water
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp grated ginger
1/4 tsp ground cardamon
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
 
Put all ingredients into a medium sauce pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer until pears are tender, about 5 minutes.
